    Trim question?

there have been a couple times now where I THINK I have trimmed in too much..

Here is a situation I'll be fishng in shallow water so i trim up a bit then go to leave and start the engine before trimming all the way back down. It's hard to hear the trim with the engine running and i may not have let off the button when it was all the way in. I run to the next spot and the motor won't seem to trim up, like it's jammed in. I push the trim up button for a while then hold it for 30 seconds and the motor trims up just like normal.

    1. do i just need to be really careful not to trim in to far or

    2. is somehting getting weak and needing replacment?

if 1 then i'll get in the habit of trimming all the way down before starting the engine

Something else is going on. You should be able to trim as far as it will allow and not have problems w/ it coming back up. Have you checked the fluid?

No trim gauge? You should be able to fire up in any position in the trim range. Check it out out of the H20 on the trailer to make sure that there isn't a problem with the trim. It could be just the switch messing up. I can't hear my trim running when I'm running but I watch the gauge (sometimes) but can tell by the "feel of the seat" when the trim is right. There should be no binding. CM

Championman the switch was my first idea too but it I got the same response at all three switches..

I wanna make sure i was clear before I think i have been trimming it all the way down but still depressing the switch not realizing it is already all the way down...

    I'll check the fluid too...

When my trim bottoms out it shuts off. I can hold the button down all I want, same is true for the top. I've got a late 80's v6 crosflow.
