Great Day

Well, I finally was able to get to fish with Shawn today, after planning a few other trips and never getting together.

We were heading to Laurel Park, but forgot the Wendy's Charity tourney was there today 200 plus boats trying to launch before dawn.

We decided to head over to Little River instead. Shawn was patient with me as I tried to back up the trailer while not having full range of motion in my head and shoulder. Finally was able to get launched, and headed out to the flats just south of Thompson Bridge to work some topwaters and watch the blast off.

Had some trolling motor issues, and I had to make a run to the store and back,but Shawn was able to save the day, and get us back on the water

Fishing was tough, as everyone has been saying for the past month. We stayed on the upper end, and managed a few bites, but Shawn caught our only fish.

I just wanted to say "Thank You" shawn for allowing me to spend the day with you, I had a great time, and enjoyed getting to know you better and chatting and picking your brain all day, sharing thoughts and ideas about different lakes etc.

I got a couple of phone calls today while I was out...including one from Paul, but I could not hear and signal was really bad for some reason. Sorry for not calling back Paul. Will try and call tomorrow

It sure felt good to get out on the water too. I managed to stay in the boat all day without falling overboard, and most casts went close to where they were intended

Looking forward to doing it again another time when the fish are biting

Sounds Great,Don....Welcome back to the water I had a good time fishing with Shawn also

We had a pretty good day down at the "The Point"....caught numerous fish,but only 5 keepers totaling about 10lbs.....I had a good one break off in a tree branch,but still managed 3 good keepers all about 2lbs each.....2 largies and one FAT spot....had a belly like mine Bob had 2 good keepers both largies,and he had a couple good ones come unbuttoned All in all a pretty good Saturday.

Don, I realy enjoyed Saturday, can't wait till we get to go again. Even though we didn't catch may fish I still learned alot. That under hand cast will be a big help.
