I know Carl fishes there a lot and lives over there same as Fred. Also If you had a chance to meet Gary and Perry Rogers at the tourney this weekend, they both fish there all the time as well.

Yeah something small and straight. Zoom Finesse, Roboworm Sculpin or 4" straight tail, Yamamoto Kut Tail in 4" or 5" and the Yamamoto Flat Tail. Let the fish tell you what colors, but some that have worked for me were:

Blue Pearl Hologram, Sand, Green Pumpkin, Cotton Candy, Watermelon Red Flake, and Rootbeer Green Flake (Gourd Green)

I like to use about 18-24" dropper line below the hook and have caught fish in water ranging from 20' - 50' on that lake

    Re: Keowee (Bass Hawk 87)

Tina and I went out last evening and caught several bass fishing deep water banks.
The largest was about 2 1/2 pounds but we caught four keepers and were out only aboy 2-3 hours. The water is coming back up slowly and that's sending some bass more shallow water. We were fishing a 5 inch watermelon char--- finesse and were getting a lot of reaction hit, some were rolling on it as soon as it hit the water. A fun evening. We fished the Cane Creek area above South Cove. It I were T fishing I would fish the deep banks to get a limit and then use Don's advise for larger fish. Good Luck

Carl I need to come and spend some time fishing with you I don't want to steal your holes (I don't do that) I just need to see how the locals fish this lake, and find fish when I can't

Anytime Don. I really don't have any special holes, just certian areas on the lake I like better. Cane Creek, Crooked Creekand a couple more areas I always seem to catch fish. I'll have the boat hooked up and be ready anytime you want to drive over.

Been wanting to do it for a long time Carl. We'll try and get together some in the fall when the weather cools. Same goes for you, anytime you want to come to Lanier I am always ready.
