Friend just fished a H&D tourney this past weekend and caught most fish out of Rudy Creek in backs of coves around irregular docks.
5 fish went 19+ lbs
Hope this helps
I apreciate any and all help Mark. I've only fished this lake one time about 6 months ago.
I agree with Mark....if it's sunny, you'll want to fish the shadey side of the docks where they meet the seawall....if it's cloudy, try the outer sides.....also try running a c-bait or c-rig across secondary and main lake points....try going both deep to shallow, and shallow to deep down the sides of the points,too....if they're drawing water and you find current, you can run a c-bait along rip-rap against the current.
Good luck....Hope to see ya on Keowee![]()
Shawn,
I also fished the hd this past weekend, ended up 7th. We caught all of our fish up little river under docks on Sun. and all topwater Sat. Most fish came from way up under the middle of the dock in or near deep water (mostly main lake). I know of a 20lb and a couple of 16lb sacks that were caught with deep crankbaits up the oconee river. Some big fish are moving out but you can usually catch a few decent fish around the docks.
Good Luck
