question about the lakeland bass club?????? and others

hey,have heard and read that the lakeland club has a top notch club full of really good anglers. i'm thinking of joining a club and think sometimes i'm pretty fcking good but would like to fish from back of boat to learn more than what i've just taught myself.if i'm ever to really improve,it would be by fishing with better fisherman and want to join a club that offers me the best chance to learn from a group of really kick ass fisherman,before it's to late as i'm now a young 52, i would like to give the flw or bass opens a shot just to see if just maybe..... just maybe.....well you know the story. guys in your opinion, which club would you recomend as having the best field of anglers top to bottom?? i live in largo and could probly drive a hundred miles or so. thanks and bass wishes robin ray

I fished in that club a few years (5 or 6, can't remember exact) Great group. Back when I fished it Bobby and Chris Lane of the Elite tour were members. Alot of the Lane family are most likely still members, alot of good sticks fish in that club. Check out the 2012 schedule on the site, and see if the lakes would be to far for you to make the tournaments. Good luck to you.

Ditto: I fished as a co-angler from in that club years back too. Then both Bobby and Chris were both there as well. Of the short time I fished with them I had a chance to draw Larry West. I learned more from Larry during that day than all other trips combined. There are some fantastic anglers there, some of the best in the world. But this is a draw club and egos are always going to play a role. If you sign up and can draw Larry West it is worth it.
