Wish my boat was big enough to feel safe on Lake Apopka, I'd be out there all the time.

    Dom,

Your boat should be fine in the canals. There is a ramp (i think) on the beacleur canal. Check it out.

I have no GPS as of yet and wandering around unfamiliar canals doesn't seem to smart with a slow boat , in case a storm rolls in. I think the ramp you are talking about is the one at Lake Gem Park

Re: For those that fish Lakes Apopka, Harris, Griff ... (ROBODOM)

Found that the Magnolia Park Ramp in less than 10 minutes from the house so I took a quick drive over there. Water at the ramp was very cloudly/muddy but the winds the last few days probably has a lot to do with that. Once the winds die down, does anyone know what water clarity is like on the north east side of this lake? Only thing I know so far is, according to the signs at the lake, that water depths range from 6 to 16 feet. Any other information/ tips for someone with limited range from that ramp?
