    Palatka targerting salt water fish???

Can you target saltwater fish like flounder in the Palatka area putting in at City Docks? I like to fish for flouder and reds some this time of year and wonder if I could put in there and target the docks with mud minnows and jig heads and catch fish. I guess my real question is does enough flouder and reds come in land that far that its worth fishing for them?

I have caught a flounder as far south as the boys ranch, but I am not targeting them. I think if you want to target them, you need to go north at least to the shands.

The wife & I caught dozen or so small flounder at the Seminole power plant pipe a few years ago on C-rigs. Haven't caught any there since!

We had 3 people bring them to the weigh in for a club tx in 2000. Said they caught them around the docks right there at little lake george. I saw the fish and that was the craziest thing I had ever seen.

no rain= low water flow = salt water intrusion= saltwater fish..........

just wait a few more years for seminloe county to really start sucking the water out of the river and youl be able to catch kingfish in lake george..
