    Lake Tarpon

I'm going to try Lake Tarpon for the next few days never been there before any good tips? Is there any place close to it like a tackle shop or something to get a map?
I drove out there today to look around and find the ramp at Anderson Park. So any info would be nice.

    Thanks
    Steve

Tarpon Toms not too far from Anderson park. Tackle shop and guide services should have everything you need. I dont remember exactly where it is but you can Google it. Good luck fun lake. We did good flipping the cattails and buggywhips. There is still probably some Hydrilla on the south end of the lake that used to produce. If you happen to mark one of the many brush piles fish them.

Canals on the West Side of Lake have always been good this time of year. If there are any staging and spawning fish. You could spend all day in the canals. Also down on the SE corner at Brooker Creek area early. If the fish have not moved up, look for the points. you may even see boats fishing them. Good luck and have fun dodging skiers and race boats.

I would bet every bit of 5 months now it has been gone. Its a shame. hard to compete with some of the bigger stores. A lot of people used to just kind of hang around over there, but really didnt buy anything
