Going up in october to by a motor from a guy. he's fishing a tourny and after gonna meet me to do the sale ,I'm looking for a truck stop or a parking lot to do it where we can set up a portable A frame and swap motor from his boat to mine,any suggestions , thanks

Surely someone here that lives in that area can give you a better idea than I can......but if you guys can't do the swap at the ramp parking lot, there are a lot of shopping centers and stuff in that general area with large parking areas. There is also a state rest stop area on the south lane of I-59, probably about 15 miles or so south of Gadsden......getting more close to Ashville, Al exit though......look on a map, it might be too far out of the way for both of you. Maybe some of these other guys can come up with a more reasonable spot that you can depend on without being ask to move before you get it done.
If he is fishing out of Coosa Landing in Gadsden . There should be enough space to do it there at the parking lot . If not , just on the other side of the train trussle there is a gravel parking lot for non-boaters parking . I would recomend the paved lot first . Also at the Academy Store they have plenty of parking area , with lights .

No he's fishing guntersville and I'm coming from New Orleans and he said he would meet me close to the interstate , saw a big truck stop of gilbert ferry rd. off 59 ,may do it there

Theres a Pilot truck stop at the Steele exit on I-59..That is about 30 mins from Gville..As stated there is a Rest area just north of Ashville and south of Steele.
