Any of you Phenix City or Columbus guys fish Oliver? I was looking at a map and it looks good with lots of flooded timber and deep docks. Lookin for somewhere close to take the family. Thanks.

Oliver's a tough lake. It doesn't have flooded timber and the docks are shallow due to siltation. In the river part there is a lot of grass but it's tough to fish.
On the weekends it's a skier's and jetski paradise. I would go the other way to the Coosa or Lake Martin.
thanks. my map says it had some deep timber amd deep docks but id never been so i appreciate the info. saves me a trip. i fish harding but haven't had a good year there so far. once the sun gets up you cant hold offshore for the ski boats.
Steve a real good lake to fish back in the mid 70's was Chambers Co. lake. We seen some 10 plus lbs come out of there. Was real good fishing around the dam fishing deepBack then you could run your big motor but don't know now. Also Lee Co. should be good, caught some good size fish right before we moved. We fished that place before it was a lake. My Grand dad owned most of the land around and were the lake is. Had a great time as a kid growing up there was some red eye bass there back then.
12 lbs 9 oz caught on 4/28/1975 Lake Eufaula

Every year in May my club holds an open big fish tournament on this lake. We typically draw 80 or so boats. The big fish was about 5 and a quarter pounds. This was the only 5 pounder weighed in.
