Anyone been fishing coosa chain lately?

Just moved down from Missouri a month ago and have been fishing logan a couple times and just went to Lay lake today. I haven't been able to put together a good bite anytime I have been. I only caught a few fish this morning from 5:30-12:00. I have heard the fishing is tougher than normal but it seems like I should be doing better. Wondering if any of you guys could give me a few pointers on what types of structure to be fishing this time of year on these lakes and some of your go to baits. I will catch a random fish here and there but never get on an actual pattern. I plan to start fishing some tournaments sometime soon but don't want to pay the money and not be able to put a limit together. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Amen. I don't know what it is this summer, but I can't get on them either. I can usually get some dinks each summer just to not get skunked with a shakey head, and even that's not working.

I've saved my gas for the last 3 weeks, but couldn't stand it any longer and went up river on LM yesterday for a few hours. No turbines running (morning), and I caught 3 fish in about 6 hours. It must still stink.....may need to save my gas for another 3 weeks or so before frustrating myself again.
