RESULTS OF NORTH ALABAMA TOURNAMENT on WHEELER

1st Place and Big Fish--Eric Ballentine

Only four boats showed up with only one limit brought in. We moved the weigh-in up to 2:00 due to the heat. Should have made it 1:30, since at about 2:05 the bottom fell out.

Good to see everyone. Wish it would have been nicer so we could have stuck around and talked about Eric and Nathan.

I had number 5 so I figured there was five boats that showed up...didn't catch but just a few fish but as y'all were weighing fish in the monsoon, I was sittin in my truck laughing at the situation.

Only saw four when we blasted off, so guess you got there when we were launching. Knew you were supposed to be coming.

I worked off around 4 a.m. and went home and grabbed the boat and made my way to the ramp. Y'all were fishing by the time I got in the boat. And the lack of sleep made the bad day of fishing seem comical to me. Which was good cause I stunk it up the other day..

Yeah I was going to say, I thought Eric Van Dam had a partner lol. Nice job EB and NE! Wheeler has really been producing this last week. I fished 5 days straight and was really able to get the solid 3lb fish to bite on the football jig, despite the pro's hammering down on them. 8 to 12 foot on the ledges with shells has been key for me.

We found an area up there we were going to go to but figured we would be fishing in a crowd. So we decided to fish where we might have some water to ourselves and we did for the most part.

Well I kid you not, except for the part of getting to fish with Duane, it was one of the most miserable days I have spent on the water. I just couldn't get into it. I'm sure my partner got aggrivated with me, but man I just was not feeling it at all.
