My buddy has a place on the lake and said they were spraying the grass on the lower end this past weekend.

I would say beat the ledges with "C" rigs and deep cranks. 6-15'

Some dock fish related to deep water can work too.

They may as well pull up the ramps on Eufaula this year. The fishing has gone down the crapper. I don't know if its the pressure, the spraying or the crazy weather we had, but I have not seen fishing so poor on Eufaula in many years.

I agree with Joe. They had a BFL this past weekend and 13 pounds something won it. This is unheard of in Eufaula. There is something wrong down there.

Eufaula definitely isn't right. I don't care what the Corp of Engineers says, the water level is down about 5' from full pool. Yes they sprayed the grass which is stupid, and 13lbs won the BFL.

I heard they are going to lower the lake level ~15 feet to accomodate a water rise that will come from busting a dam or something in Columbus to put in white water rafting sections??? I don't know how much truth is in that, just one of those weekend fisherman stories so TIFWIW

Dang!!!!!! Sounds like Wheeler! Take out the grass and the good fish habitat and the fishing heads south in a hurry.

Guys, what ramp is best on lower end? I think my father has rented a house on lower end around White Oaks or maybe further south but on that side of lake. LOL, if I wanted to fish the Dead Sea jj, I would stay right here on wheeler :-) Buts its a family reunion........ and of course its Memorial day weekend so I am sure that will help the bite Looks like football head jig deep. man that lake has so many awesome weed types... Looks like flipping is completely out now.

But guys thanks for the help and insight. Please keep me posted if anything changes. Be glad to share anything I have on TN river up here in return. Thx again

    Re: lake eufaula info (Kerry201pro)

The lake will have to get REAL low before you can't get in White Oak. Should be no problem as the lake is only about 2' low ... contrary to what others think. Lake levels are posted on various official websites. The problem is that they kept jacking the level up and down in the spring so the fish never settled into a regular spawn.

Enjoy the reunion as if you go fish and do what I mentioned above you will catch some fish and might even stumble onto a school but even the schools are very small in numbers.

Yea your right it has been that low like once in the last couple years that was when we were in severe drought and lanier was holding all the water, i think then lakepoint and creek town were bout the only ones north that were useable, if you are wanting to fish south end, on the alabama side white oak or thomas mill creek are bout your only options.

    Re: lake eufaula info (fishindude12)

They have been jacking with the water level since Feb. I live on the lake up from Eufaula and it's bad. You wake up at 7am to a full pond by 10 it's down 3ft, by 5 the dock is underwater and by dark it's like somebody pulled the drain plug an the sandbars are sticking out of the water. So if they are doing it to us I know it's happening down river also

I agree the ledge bite hasn't been what it usually is an right now if you can find grass it's holding quality fish haven't seen any hawgs over 7 weighed in yet. They are going to bust two dams on the 4th of july an film some movie about zombies that are coming up the river( yea whatever)

I've been fishing the north end up around river bend and it been fair but not awesome walking the dog.

Its bad bro, worst I've ever seen took 11.5 to win a tourney with bout 30 boats last weekend. We fished out of lake point an I went as far down Big Bourbor creek. An its true NO grass an the lake was down 4ft. Best luck to you
