    Smallmouth bass

I'll be in Guntersville the 11th-14th and i want to fish for some smallies. I've never caught one, and would love to catch a few while up there. Any advice on there to go and what to through? Then going to Logan Martin 15th and 16th. I've been told that the spots are awesome. Looking forward to catch a few.

Guntersville isn't known for it's smallmouth fishing but I have heard of a few being caught down by the dam. I wouldn't go to Guntersville to target smallies, though. I think I'd be looking for some of the larger female largemouth in some pre-spawn staging areas.

If you're looking for smallmouth, I'd look at fishing Pickwick or perhaps even Wilson.

I've never fished that part of Guntersville so I guess I never really thought about fishing for smallies up there. Makes pretty good sense, though.
