    GUNTERSVILLE ICE JAN 16TH??

Men unless something changes very quick we will not be able to have the Jan 16th tournament out of Spring Creek. The ice did not melt hardly any yesterday (1/14) and its 33 out right now. The wind is going to blow a little today they say, so that might help. There is ice from the ramp out half way to the hwy 227 bridges. It is going to be 57 today so maybe it will melt some. I will check it after lunch today and let everyone know.

What about the ramp at Holiday Inn or the Covenant cove ramp?

Yep, I was thinking about some of the other ramps that get some wind and current on them like Holiday Inn,Covenant cove, and Browns creek.

The one in spring creek doesn't get wind or current so it probably froze before any of them.

I just returned from my trip to Tennessee by way of Guntersville.
69 causeway in Browns Creek still has a lot of ice for as you can
    see on both sides.

Not really interested in putting my boat through these kind of conditions!!

Any idea where we might launch from? I've been getting some IMs from some really concerned people.

I just got off the phone with Brian Franks (waketowake33) who said that Spring Creek is still pretty well iced over although there is a boat path you can get through. Rather than chance it, though, we're going to move our launch site to Guntersville State Park. See ya'll there!!
