there's one in Athens that is one of the finest I've ever been too and I used to sell tackle and have seen hundreds over the years, sorry I dont remember the name but I think Avery might know. it's on the main road from killen to the I-65 exit in Athens, sells gas, looks like a gas station reallly but it's full of anything you might need.

If you have time and your coming down I-65, stop in at the Ardmore, Tn exit (last one before the AL state line) About 2 miles to town, take right in main part of town and look for Mullin's Bait and Tackle. Can't miss it, just ask anyone!!

Definetly Decatur Bait in Decatur. It is the only half way decent shop in town. If you need oil while your in, Walmart is your best bet. West End has EVERYTHING but is Athens but they have the super selection.

You guys coming up for the Open next weekend? If you get in town and need something holler. I am 3.5 miles from Ingalls harbor.

Yeah I have a Fishers of Men on Gville this weekend. Will be there Fri and Sat. THe bite on Wheeler has been real strong. Last weekend a big T out of ingalls took 18+lbs to win. Not Gville standards on Wheeler by no means but catching alot of fish..

Just left Decatur Bait and Tackle - it isnt as big as West End Chevron, but they have a pretty good selection. Not much in the way of line.

    Re: Wheeler Tackle Shops (ProCrafty)

I stopped in at West End the other day and was dissapointed to learn that they have raised their prices on some of the cranks I used to get there. I could see a little price increase but they went up $2 on them. I stopped at Elk River Tackle they are closer to my price range.

Yeah West End has the inventory, but they are pretty pricey....... Elk River gets alot of my business.
