    Logan Martin

Anyone know of a good public or pay ramp half way between the NH Dam and I-20? 10 years ago I would put in at Kikers. Is that still open? Is there a better place to put in? I'm wanting to fish up river but don't want to run a long way.

    Thanks,
    CrankinStein

Yes Kiker's is still open (I'm thinking it's called something else now??), but I don't know if you can put in there right now with the water level. They went in a couple of years ago and dredged out the opening leading out to the main channel, but I don't think it was enough to help with the winter water levels. There is D&S (now called Bill's I believe) but it is just a couple of miles above I-20. You can always use the ramp at Cane Creek (right off of Hwy 77, just a few miles below the dam) but this area is treacherous during the winter due to water levels. That's about it, unless you know someone who has a private ramp. There is a place at the end of Wood's Ferry road where the actual old road dead ends into the water, we have put my buddy's 18.5 ft Stratos in there before, but trust me, it's not much. Not even really a ramp, just enough of the old road bed left to put a boat in. If you have any questions, shoot me an IM.

I wouldnt put in at Hwy 77 and yes there is a ramp at woods ferry never put in there. I would put in at D&S its just across the street from River Side police station. David is not charging a launch fee anymore.
