    Meet and Greet TX

    WOW!
What a great turnout we had for our 2nd annual Meet and Greet TX on Lake Mitchel. I think we had 15 boats on a tough day on the lake. I want to thank eveyone for traveling so far to join us. We all know you did it just for the food Oh and thanks to Mr Naked Chef Rick Smith for all he did. Jason will jump in latter with the results. These are a fews pics.

Enjoyed the tourney as always! Looking forward to next month.

Thanks to Rick for doing all the cooking and feeding us....we all certainly appreciate it. I must ask, what was in that chili for the hotdogs???

I usually don't give out my secret recipes, but I will just this one time. I add a few additional herbs and spices but here is the basic ingredient........

I may be wrong but I think in the last pic Rick has caught Harry making off with the leftover chili.

Re: Meet and Greet TX (Shoofly)

Thanks to Boom Boom (Rick) for doing the cooking and all the food he brought. Eddie for the drink, Chad for the desert and Jason for what he brought. It was great to see some of the Yanks come down and some new guess there. My son-law first time fishing with us said he looked forward to doing it again. and enjoyed visiting with all the guys but wasn't too sure about Joey.

Yeah I didn't get to hang around as long as I wanted to. The Harpy, I mean wife, had other plans for us that afternoon. It was great to put some names to faces though!

Re: Meet and Greet TX (altimas)

On another note. After we had launched me and Jeff were standing around and noticed something we had never seen before. A couple of people backed their boats in and let them free float with noone in them and went to park the truck. I know there was a lot of boats out there and they wern't likely to get away but I have never seen that happen before and wondered what the reasoning was behind it?

Re: Meet and Greet TX (altimas)

That was probably Rick and Drews boat you saw in the water. We have a system where if you are launching by your self you can release your boat then come back from parking your trailer to park the next persons trailer. When you return to the water someone picks you up to take you to your boat. Works real good and doesn't tie up the ramp.

I had a great time, thanks Tommy for letting me ride and fish. Thanks Chef Rick and everyone involved with the cooking and eating part. Sorry I had to fish, eat and run, but the Tide needed me :)

dropping the boat in and getting a ride out to it goes on about anytime you have alot of boats and when there's no current :)

thanks again you rebels, hope to fish soon with ya'll
