What is the best cellular service in Alabama

Company is setting up a shop down there and we need cell phones.

I've had the best luck with Verizon. I'm sure it depends on where you are as to what is best. Hopefully others will chime in.

What kind of work are you guys in? Will you be moving down here?

cingular has been the best for me my freind had verizon and had to change because he coulndt get service much unless he went to a bigger town. it woulndt pick up in my small town. i would have service 90% of the places he woudlnt and would rarely has service when i didnt.

I wouldn't even look at Nextel (Sprint) only good along the Interstate and that not all the time. You'll have a single and can not use the phone. Their customer service is no better. Go with anything but Sprint (Nextel)

Cingualar or AT&T is awful here. I could not even get service at my house and I live less that one mile from the main tower in montgomery.

We swithced to Alltel and have been very satisfied with the service. The only place that I have found that the service is not great is when I get into very rural areas on the lakes.

I dont know anything about the beep beep companies like sprint or nextel cause I cant stand the beep beep crap.

I have also heard good things about verizion.

I drive a truck all over north alabama. verizon HANDS DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cingular is pretty good, sound quality sux and hangs up alot. we have nextel in the trucks. REDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!! ESPECIALLY IN DOWNTOWN BIRMINGHAM believe it or not. it's almost unuseable in bham. used to have southern link, much much much better than nextel. the rest suck in north alabama compared to verizon!!!
