Re: looking for a relaxed bass club (jhef)

You found the right group if you want a small group of friendly guys that like to fish. The northern group fishes the 3rd Sat. of each month and the southern group fishes the first Sat. of each month. Smith Lake is this weekend for the northern group. It got shifted one week due to the bad weather last weekend. There are a few qualification to fish but I'm not up to speed on the specifics. Hopefully someone will help me out on this.
Welcome and I hope you give us a try soon.

Johnny ......those Northern guys are a good group of dudes.....I have fished with them on several occasions .......they are down to earth kinda guys who will always willing to let a "new" guy into the group.....they are competitive but......they will become your brothers if you will let them.....they mainly fish the Tenn. chain but venture out sometimes coming as far South as Logan Martin.......They are not as smart as us Southern guys but you will certainly enjoy their company.

Welcome to the board! Right now looks like you have 7 post total. 3 more post and you'll qualify to fish as an official BBC member! You can fish with either group. North or South. Those Yanks aren't as good a fishermen and us southern guys.....But they try. You can also fish both Tx each month if you want. After each Tx we make a post to vote for a lake to fish the following month. If you cast a vote, all we ask is that you make every effort to be at the tx. If something comes up and you know that you will not make the tx, just let us know asap. After voting is over, Sign up starts. For more details see some of the "PIN UPs" at the top of the club board. Especially the one about "what to bring on tournament day".

We sure would! In fact, we've got a non-boater that's looking real hard for a boater to fish with this Saturday. : praying:

It looks like the only "requirement" that you haven't met yet is the minimum number of posts and it won't be very difficult to hit the 10-post requirement in pretty short order!
