    Questions about Lay Lake

I am going to be at Lay this coming up weekend. In the past I have used a neighbors boat ramp but it was with my 16ft boat and it was hard with that one. Are there any public ramps near Sylacauga?

Does anyone have tips for fishing lay this time of the year?

    Thanks, Drew

Re: Questions about Lay Lake (dtarules)

don't know about ramps............but the fishing forecast for upper Lay for Sat is:....it will be slightly windy to start the morning.....just after sun up a front will come thru and there will be blue bird skies......it Will be HOT and you will not catch any fish........Drew, there is no charge for these forecasts however, a donation to the Rick Smith School of Performing Arts will greatly be appreciated....we accept VISA, AE, personal checks, money orders or cash. For Sun. forecast contact me on Mon.

Closest ramp to Sylacauga is Sunset Marina@Cedar Creek, go west on Fayetteville Rd, just past Pursell Golf Club bear right where the road forks. (Watch that curve after the split) Go through the next 4 way stop, follow that road around a sharp curve, go a few hundred ft further, turn left, runs into the marina. Not sure of its water level though.
