Northern Chapter sign up here to fish Guntersville on 3/17

It looks like Guntersville has been selected as the lake to fish on March 17th. Sign up here and we'll keep track of the participants in this thread.

Now we need to look at a ramp selection. We've just about always put in at the ramp in Spring Creek, which seems to be fairly accessible for just about everybody. I suggest we leave it there unless someone knows of a big tournament launching from there on the same day.

Sounds great to me. Not sure where the ramp is though, The only one I have ever put in at is just off highway 35 in Scottsboro. So if someone can help out with directions that would be great Titas Legg age 13 will be riding with me as well.

Fortunately, it's really easy to get to. Take US-431 from Huntsville into the city of Guntersville. Just after you cross the Tennessee River, the highway divides and you'll be in the booming metropolis of Guntersville. Continue straight and the divided portion will end just before you go over the Spring Creek causeway. Continue straight on US-431. Just over the causeway, there'll be a traffic signal which is Wyeth Drive. You'll also see a "Covenant Cove" sign on the corner. Turn left on Wyeth Drive and you'll see the ramp a couple of hundred feet on the left. Here's a link to the MapQuest site: http://www.mapquest.com/maps/m...code=

According to map quest it says that it will take approx. 1hr and 50min. Does this seem about right? Also is there a gas station in guntersville on 431 that I can get gas early in the morning. I just want to allow myself enough time because I have not been to that ramp before.

From Rogersville, that would be about right. Towing a boat, you might want to allow a little more.

As for gas stations, there are definitely some closer than Rogersville. I don't remember just how close to the ramp, but I'm thinking somewhere around a 1/4 mile away.

There a station at the intersection of 431 and 72 about 1/4 mile from the ramp . It always been open when Ive come by. and has coffee

How 'bout 6:00? I think it's probably light enough to "ease off" by 6:30 or so. That ought to give us enough time to get everyone registered and launched.
