Looks to me like either a striper or a hybrid. I wouldn't bet the farm on which one it is but if I had to guess, I'd say its a striper. Check out the Texas Parks and Wildlife web site at http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fi...phtml.
I was thinking it was a Striped Bass but after looking at your post I am thinking that maybe it was a Hybrid. My change of mind is coming after seing the body extended far past 1/3 of his body length and more so out to the 2/3 mark. Only negative to the Hybrid is that it appeard to have most lines fully intact.
Avery....that's a good web site. Looks like you called it right. I've never seen one of those fish. But of course I don't get to see many fish. Well....maybe a few turtles and catfish.![]()
