Don't have first hand experience with the boat, but a lot of guys are running PowerTech 4 blades on those boat/motor combos. Do you have a jackplate? P.S. Welcome aboard. Plenty of good info around here.

Can you give a little more info, like RPM at WOT, prop hieght, water pressure at WOT, etc... You have 6" setback, right?

yes i have 6 inches of setback my rpms are 5700 to 5800 water pressure is around 19 to 20 psi. not sure on prop height have not measured it. I'm not sure what is causing it but it will just fall of the pad and prop start slipping if you turn just a little bit or if you hit a little bit of rough water and i'll have to trim back down or sometimes you can let off on the gas a little and it will grab and the front come back up and start running fine.

Sounds like your motor is a little low, can you get that measurement. There are serveral things that can cause what you are discribing. A hull imperfection, motor too low, or a bad prop (there are a few other but one of these are most likely it). You are getting 90% slip ratio so you can throw out the hul imperfection. What can happen with the motor being too low is at high speed when you turn or you boat re-enters the water the cavitation plate can cavitate the prop making it lose bite, I am guessing this is whats up. As for the prop, it could have one blade out of wack that cavitates the whole prop at WOT.

jr225ho, thanks for the good info. I wasn't able to get on the computer until late so i will try to get the measurement and get back to you. Do you have any suggestions on a good four blade prop for my rig. Thanks again.

Trophys impress me. I've heard a lot of good things about PowerTech TRO4 but have never ran them only Trophys. Mazco HP4 is also a hell of a good four blade but they are pricey.

Oh yeah way to low. Just for an example I run mine 2" to 1-3/4" below pad. Most people seem to settle on the 3" mark maybe a little high. Raise it to 3-1/2" and run it. Note speed, rpm, water pressure and whole shot charactoristic. Raise 1/4" repeat. Keep on raising it until you run out of water pressure, blow out on hole shot, speed drops, or too many rpms. If any of these things happen post back hear and we'll fix it. Also if you can't do it all one day note the Humidity, Temperture, and Barometric Pressure.

the 23M will not hold the bow at 2-3 inches on that rig.I had the same exact combo for 4 years.23TRO4 Powertech will be your best overall performer.I tried many props on this rig and I had both 6in and 10 in jackplates.

The 6in was better in my opinion.Your running pretty good now anyway, there is not much left in speed to be had(gps)

What are you measuring down to from the pad. My Honda is setting a little over 7 inch to the center of the prop shaft. And im getting some spray coming off the cav plate.
Im running a m21 on a 150 Honda with a 10 in JP.
Spinning it 6200 RPM getting 59 MPH speedo. 2 folks and full fuel.
Great hole shot (i haven't even been trimming the motor passed level) Great midrange and hoping top end will also be once i get the motor up.
No water pressure gage yet, After the break in going to the dealer to have it put on and the motor raised.
