Well I got 67.2 out of my new x19 before she started walking
again. I raised the motor last week and I am around that 3.5"
range. I only have maybe an inch left to raise it, I hope its enough. I have plenty of water pressure (20psi). This boat is absolutley awsome. I love it!

1" might be enough but you'll probably should just go ahead and raise the motor up a couple holes. This new X-19 hull is a lot different than the other style, what we were saying before about 2.5"-3" is where most guys settle in is true for the hyperlift 1 but I think its gonna change for hyperlift 2. I haven't lost bite yet just water pressure and I'm at 1" below, FREAKIN' UNREAL. I am going to plug my top hole on my LU and see if how high I can get it without losing bite. I forget do you have a 6" ot 10" JP? With either you should be able to get into the low 70's. I had a 2.5mph currrent behind me when i opened mine up and hit 75.4. Look out glass boys, it might be a tin can but its a tin can full of WHOOP ASS.

I did bring my motor up that other inch and it made a good bit of difference. I hit 70 mph pretty easy and stopped there.
I wasn't even trimmed up all the way and had 20 psi. The last boat I had was a skeeter and you didn't have to "drive" it as much because it was heavier. But the Xpress is unreal, the ride is fantastic. Everything really! But its a lot lighter, accelerates a lot faster, lifts a lot faster and I am taking my
time getting used to it. I will probably up some more later.
I am running a 10" plate and a four blade powertech. Jr your
not usually around during the day. Whats up?

Yes the weather has been bad. Tornados, hail, lightning, I wouldn't be suprised if it started rain frogs followed by swarms of locusts. I went out yesterday and there were trees floatin down the size of buses. I am suprised the DNR wasn't givin 'em tickets for invalid regestration. I made it about 200 yds and turn right back around. I don't know who did what to piss the man upstairs of but QUIT IT. We went from 4' below normal to flood stage in 4 days. Thats over 7' of water. It supose to crest tomorrow and start to trickle down. It makes it tough fishin too. Well just imagine, the bank you were catch'em on last weekend now has 8' of water over it and is 30' from shore. Sucks.

Yeah the exact same thing happened to me here on the sabine river. On Rayburn and Toledo as well. Sure does scatter the fish when they have all that water. Yeah those trees make you pay attention when your trying to see how fast your boat will go. LOOK OUT!

JR,
I'm 1.25" below pad, too! I'm holding 15-17psi, but my RPMs are not increasing like I had hoped. The ride is much better the higher I go, though. What do you do when you hit the top of the jackplate???

Go up more holes on the motor. I was wondering if anyone else was getting to that point or not. This is very import, life and death stuff here so lissen up and take heed. When you get the motor that high there are a couple VERY dangerous situations you need to avoid. One is powering over waves over about 1.5' and powering throu a turn. When your that high and at WOT what can happen is the entire more including the skeg will leave the water and can cause you to spin out, and believe me doin' loopedy loops at 70mph will pull your "manhood" up into your throat somewhere. Its easy to avoid just power back a little, trim down a little and let the boat settle down some, and you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Try to avoid crossing waves at a bad angle, either as close as you can be to with them or straight against (try to say away from the 45 degree stuff). I know there are some Bullet and Allison guys that might know more about it and maybe they chime in. Most poeple say its more in the 80+ range you have to worry about it but a saw a Charger spin out doin 75 and he was passing a boat and when he crossed the wave away he went. He had his motor way to high.but he was doing both of the no nos at the same time, turning and crossing waves.

According to my Garmin eTrek Legend, My max speed has only been 66.8mph and I'm still only turning 5200-5250rpms. What do you think is holding me back. I've tried all trim levels, but then again, it's ALWAYS windy this time of year in central Texas, so maybe that's it?

Find a trophy and run it. Somethin' isn't right. You might want to have your tach checked to or somethin is messed up with the prop, your slip ratio is out of wack. If you have the standard LU with 1.86 ratio you have -1% slip ratio meaning you are at 101% effecentcy which is impossible. If you have the high proformance LU it is a 1.75 ratio anf you'd be at 4% slip which is almost impossible as 101%

Check for a "full pull" on the throttle linkage.25M on a 200 should spin more than rpm's posted on that hull.
