    Any lawn treatment guys here

My lawn is developing a fungus from all the rain we have been getting. I bought a fungicide to spray. Here is my question. Does the grass need to be dry when I spray it? How long does it usually take to dry before two can wash it away? I will be spraying spectracide illuminox for lawns plus insects. Thanks.

If It’s a soluble solution you are spraying then no need to let it dry. It’s best. To Not apply right before a rain event. Read label instructions

Its probably Red Thread that you are getting. If you are spraying a contact fungicide like Chlorothalonil or Iprodione then you want to spray it and let it dry on the leaf. Its ok if there is dew when u spray it as long as the sun is coming up and will dry everything off and allow the application to dry on the leaf. A contact fungicide works on the surface of the plant. If its a systemic fungicide, like any of the conazole fungicides (propoconazole, tebuconazole, etc) or Bayleton, then you want to water them in a little. The idea with a systemic is to get it to the roots and stems of the plant so it can be absorbed and moved upward into the plant. So it works internally as a protectant.

If you have a lot of Perennial Ryegrass or fine fescue, the disease you have is probably Red Thread. With fall coming it really will go
away on its own. Give it some fert so it can heal in as the weather cools off
