    6 or 8 ft. Talon on a TR196?

Which would fit better? 6 or 8 ft.? Will this thing slow me down? Top end? Extra weight?

The size of the Talon is whatever you think is best. I would rather have the 8ft, because I can position myself in a little deeper water and cast shallow. Also, I believe it only weights around 40-45 pounds, shouldn't hurt the speed at all.

8 foot Power Pole. My 6 footer (Power Pole)seemed to always be a tad too short when i needed it. i would get an 8 footer in either brand.
