Question for my fellow XS and HP owners....

I have a '11 20XS elite w/ 250 SHO and was wondering what you guys are getting for numbers on the XS hull? Merc, Yamaha, whatever...just curious. Best I've seen so far is 73.1. I have been checking the top speed post for any XS's and can't find any. Would like to hear from the HP guys too to compare.

You are very close. Most of the 20XS's run between 72 and 75 depending on the load, prop, and set-up. The 20XS is a big 20 footer. You may pick up some speed with a different prop, and engine height but it depends on rpm's and water pressure.

    2010 20 XS
    250 Pro XS
    26 Fury
    10" T&H JP
    4.25 below pad
    best to date 74.5 @ 5900RPM
New best today 74.9@5950RPM air temps in high 90's
    10/12/10 75.8 air temps in low 60's
    10/14/10 76.5@5950

Ive slowed down to about 73ish, but i've added a buttload of tackle and a power pole since those numbers. Definitely runs better in cool weather

    I'm running a 25 pitch T1. Yamaha doesn't make a 26 that I know of....think I need a 26? Loaded I rarely see 70. I have a 10" atlas hyd jackplate too.

If you wanna try something different..........I have always ran Merc props on the yammie. Get a hub kit and try a 26 Fury if ya want to try something that might increase your top end.
