something else to keep an eye on

Thought I would pass this on. The back plate on my seastar under the dash fell off. Apparently the screws vibrated there way out. Better give yours a check. When this happened it let some other bolt work lose, and the result was that my steering went from perfect to would not turn at all in two seconds at about 85 mph. That could have gotten ugly!!

Wow could have gotten ugly. I loaded my boat a couple weekends ago and noticed all 3 bolts that attach the tilt and trim to the motor bracket on the passanger side had vibrated out and were gone. Atleast I sure hope thats what happened and it wasnt someone at the motel where we staied removed the bolts the night before.

yeah, vibration is a bitch!! I can't feel it in the boat, but I am slowly learning that every winter you need to check them all.
