That's not a real tournament boat!

I love it when people tell me that you can't be a "real tournament angler" out of a boat like my Stroker or a Bullet, Ally etc

2nd place MA Bass Federation Trail ( TBF ) 20.59 lb limit this past weekend 1st trail event of this season.

    Great job!
Okay, I lived long enough to see a fast boat guy place high in a tough circuit...must be a leap year. 150 guys here and not a one (even the BASS Open winner on Red River) owns a fast boat...they seem happy going 70-80...

Re: That's not a real tournament boat! (reelman)

They get paid to fish something else Lot of boats out there are great boats and great fishing platforms. Skeeter,Ranger, Triton, Nitro etc but it's always those guys who are saying that real fast boats like my Stroker can't be true tournament boats. My Stroker at 21' and 94 1/2" wide why would anyone think it couldn't be a really great tournament boat? I've got a MG Tour Edition troll on the bow and three top of the line Lowrance GPS/Fishfinder units and it will run 100+ solo and about 95 with a tournament load and two people, with a stock Merc 250 XS.

Chub built this boat for two BIG guys to go fish in and "run out in front", so why do so many insist you can't do both???

Great job Eli, yes Strokers can and do catch a lot of fish, not all the time but a good part of the time.

Sounds like someone made a long run to his fishing spot and when he got there a guy in a Stroker told him that the fish were biting real good when he first got there, but they quit biting about a hour ago......

And no I don't have a Stroker either but I am not ashamed to admit that I am on the Stroker board drooling all over my keyboard hoping that it wont be long before I can get one. I am tired of being just like the 150 guys you are talking about.....

Eli if you had a real bass boat you would have been first not second. Of course that comes from an Allison owner a non real bass boat as well
    Congratulations

Re: That's not a real tournament boat! (Stroker300x)

Thanks everyone for the congrats and Kurt thank you and thank Chub & Alice for knowing from the beginning that while I love to fish competitively and equally love to "Run out Front" that the true mission of my Stroker was far more important than either of the first endeavors

Oh and on a lighter note: I've never seen a Lamborghini at the grocery store but if I had one I certainly wouldn't mind putting the groceries behind the seats

Re: That's not a real tournament boat! (esdbass)

WTG,I rode in a Stroker last week and I didn't fish out of it but am sure it would fish better than many of the boats guys claim to be "real bass boats",big deck, stable etc..Not many fast boats around here and most guys know nothing about them as far as build quality, ride etc.Funny at a Bass club meeting this week a guy tells me he looked at an xb2002 Allison last yr but his BIL from Texas told him to stay away from Blazers, allisons etc. and stick with Ranger,Skeeter etc.,all I said was the Xb2002 wasn't the best boat to fish out of so not a good choice and left it at that, thing was I was wearing an Allison jacket, don't think he noticed and I never mentioned I had one

    Hirks:

Tell me about your boat. (model, motor, color, etc.). I am from just the other side of Cobourg, and don't see many Ally's around.
