Performer SC vs BC - what's the diff in how they run on our Strokers?

Kurt's become somewhat fond of the SC lately (111 mph can do that to a guy ), but there's gotta be trade-offs with each style. What are the pros/cons? My real question is, which is better for a light to medium load fishing prop (2 guys, not too much gear)?

I have a 28 P3 BC and I just ordered a 26 P4. I asked Billy about givin me the SC and he said I should go with the BC first, cuz once he does the SC there's no going back. So the SC must have less blade area,,, I'm guessing less bow lift, but maybe more stern lift?? I like the way the 28 P3 BC ran, but I want a little less pitch for zippin around smaller lakes and I'm hoping the 4th blade will carry a little more weight (someone smack me if I'm way off).

BTW, the 26 P4 is going to Mark ...to do whatever he did to Kurt's

If you look at the trailing edge of the performer BC's, it has a reverse pitch. IMHO, that is not a good thing. Mark takes most of that out, and does a great job of working the prop to do what you need.

Billy told ya right. once they do an ET cut that is how that prop will stay.. I have a P3 BC that runs GREAT, very close to my 28 Bravo in all aspects..

From what I have seen and been told my P3 BC is a cross between the 2 cuts

I would want to think that the BC P3 would carry a heavier load then the ET cut especially in rougher water due to the ampunt of extra blade area.

you can always do a bc and later change to a sc
but like Lou said once a sc it will stay that way
With you being able to turn over 7000 and a 1.62 gear
I would start off with a 26 pitch Bc 4 blade

What a blessing it is to have guys like you on this message board!! Everyone benefits from your experience and willingness to share it. You make the BBC a great place to hang out! Thanks for all the awesome input.

I think I'll go with the BS cut - 2 blades BC, 2 blades SC
