The rocker switch at the control lever is in need of replacing. Can you provide insight on how to go about replacing it? Do I have to replace the entire lever or is the switch alone replaceable.
Thanks in advance,

Nice Rig.
Trim handle replacement kit part number 586348 should fix your problem.
Shift the remote to reverse, if it will not shift rotate the prop, use a 1/8 allen wrench to loosen the screw in the slot on the bottom of the handle, remove the rubber cover in the center of the handle, use a phillips screw driver to remove the button, remove the handle, replace the trim switch/handle assembly, reinstall all components in reverse order.

You are Welcome.
Don't move the shifter either.
Those were some good 150's!!!
I've got a 2000 ranger 522 with a flush mount(no key) remote control. Boat came with a 2000 225 Ficht but I have a 2007 225HO on it now. Same control. The little rubber cover over the trim switch is cracked. What is the best way to repair. Need directions for a Dummy.
You might try some plastic dip, which is a rubberized plastic dip for tool handles etc... you may have seen this product. I would try to encapsulate the rubber part of the switch cover with a q-tip dipped into this and swiped around the cracked area of the trim switch. But the best thing to avoid coming out to your rig and hearing the awful sound of a trim unit grinding away would be to replace the switch. JMHO
I assume for a dummy that is a visit to my dealer ???
