    '08 294 gauges.

Alright guys. Got her out for the second time this year. Leaving for g ville in a few weeks so was checking the boat more than fishing. In my first trip this season I started with a half tank of gas. Ran it down today to the E mark. I noticed while loading the gas gauge was back to the 1/2 mark. Then, at the beginning of the trip I noticed my water pressure gauge was not reading. I tapped it and it jumped to 10 psi. It only dropped to 7 psi at idle and stayed there even after I shut the motor down. No alarms so the water pressure was good all day but the gauge is stuck. How do I fix these problems before I head south.

Jim, your water pressure gauge may need to be replaced, They can freeze over the winter causing your needle to not read correctly, Your fuel sender in the tank could also be stuck. You would need to remove it to make sure your float isn't stuck. C&O marine can help you with your parts needs.

I sure can help you hun. Send me a picture of your PSI gauge and I will be glad to see if I have one here. You can send it to sammyjo21@ymail.com If your sending unit is bad also I will need measurements of it and a picture.

My gauges are Farias and according to thier website are warrantied for life. You might check and see which brand you have before buying anything.

I have a 2006 294 Pro XL, and my pressure gauge starts out below zero. Have any of you replaced gauges on a 294 Pro XL? From looking at the way they are in the panel, it doesn't look like a real easy job.
