HDS5 doesn't fit in my console 'hole' on my '05 201ProXL

Since the HDS5 has been out a while, I was wondering if any of you 201ProXL owners have had this problem and what have you done about it. Is there a new faceplate that I can get to have the HDS5 fit?? I'd hate to cut a hole on my console to mount a RAM mount. Let me know.

I have an 03 model that i put a LMS-520c in. The HDS 5 is just a little larger like 1/4 inch. So just shave a little off of each side and it should slide right in.

My console plate where the sonar mounts is resets about 1/2 inch. There's no way of shaving anything to make it fit unless I cut out a BIG hole ... then I cannot use it anyway!

Uh, no. But, there is someone on here that makes nice plates for your need, custom for your boat and electronics. Maybe they will see this, or you could post in the general bass boat forum.

i fabbed a mounting bracket that attached to the unit,then screws to dash,its not flush,but looks like it belongs there,,,,2003 asx
