    rub rail sealing 96 295 pro

    have water coming around the rub rail,do i need to remove the whole rub rail,500 screws ,or just clean out under the rail and re seal it?what is the best to use to re seal it?best method for removing the old sealant?

    I just sealed mine this winter. Used 5200. I started cleaining out some of the old silicone, but that was a hassle. Ended up just sealing right over the old and it worked great.

    You need to remove as much of the old as will come off. Sealing over loose silicone will not hold. If it is still tight, then leave it, but it it is even loose a little bit on the edges, you need to cut it out.
