    1997 201 Pro Elite discussion

I just picked up a 97 201pedc and have been trying to get it back to new. So far I have buffed and polished, 2 new trailer tires, safety chain on trailer, new bilge pumps, new aerator pumps, picked up new front electronics and scrubbed the carpets better than I have in my own house.

I have a question when it comes to jack plate height. I know I have read that every boat is different but if a person could see what everyone else is doing with the same hull they could get an average and have a starting place. It seems like my boat has maxed out at around 56 mph gps but I forgot what the tach read. So if you have a 201 tell me what your jackplate height is so I can see if I am reasonably close.

    Thanks

I have a '99 with a 225 Opti. I run my Tempest at 2.75 to 3 inches below and my Fury at 3.25 to 3.50 below pad. Hope that helps.

on a 6 inch plate about 3.25 - 3.5. Would help to know your rpm's, water pressure, prop size and engine at wot to give you more info. Depending on all of the things listed your boat should be doing better than that
