M2 Gearcase AGAIN!!!!(HUEY Please help)ASAP

I have a M2 gearcase coming from my dealer and am told I have to have it installed, I was told once by a moderator that I trust THAT I do not, Do I or Don,t I have to have this installed !!! Not very happy with the reviews on the M2 is there any hope for the M2
If I do not have to have it installed does it VOID warranty and can it be shipped back to BRP
IS there a BRP rep that can answer this so I can copy it and give it to my dealer!!!

Yes, a dealer has to install this if it is under warranty, they have to have a computer print out to send in to BRP with the hours of the engine.

My dealer did not get notified by BRP I found the BRP reps number thru a friend of mine who is sponsored by Ranger & BRP and they called him and in turn he told them about the bulletin in which they did not received ,they were a littlt peed that a customer was more informed than them thus, 3 M2 gear cases where ordered

And rodney yes my dealer is going to install it!!!
QUESTION is DO I HAVE TO HAVE IT INSTALLED

No, you don;t have to have it installed, they do give you a choice but they do not tell u that it has to be done, now with that said if ur gear case goes out they will send you the new SLE gear case to replace it with.

It is not a mandatory replacement, they can't hold a gun to your head and force you to do it. Just keep in mind that if you should blow up your gearcase. You will not get a L2 case. Your warranty replacement will be a M2. Plain and simple as that. You may or may not get a new prop at BRP's expense. It is what it is and that is why it is called the Get well program. It is free, you get a new LU a new Prop and the necessary conversion parts from BRP complementary.

Called BRP today, no problem keeping the L2 ,just gave them my
serial numbers,and it went on file as not changed out EVERY THING is STILL UNDER WARRANTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From what I was told BRP feels the L2 case is whats causing some water/cooling issues and why some of the H.O.s are running hot/popping... The M2 case was to cure the cooling issue.

My thinking is If this is the case then why would BRP allow you to keep the L2, and simply make note of it and let you go on your way..

Why do only some motors run hot and not all if its the same case on all motors?

Why the case swap to begin with and make all the owners play set up games. In my opinion the M2 case has made for nothing more then aggrivation if its not mandetory that you change and it does not reflect on your warranty.

Can someone fill me in on this please?
