Not my favorite color combo(this listing) by any stretch, but do not ever under estimate the value of these ASX boats. IMHO, probably the most innovative design that Stratos ever built when considering performance and a highly sought after boat if in excellent condition. If purchased, get ready to learn how to drive a stable but fast and learning experience platform. IMHO, go for it if compression,leak down, and motor history are in line with the pricing. Good luck with your decision.

Here's you one with 40 hours on it for 25k. I still think there the best looking Stratos ever built, and the fact that it's an 80 mph boat with a 225 isn't shabby either.

I saw this boat on ebay earlier this year. Looks like it was re-listed by the seller...maybe asking 15k for a boat that looks like it was left to sit overnight in downtown Detroit had something to do with it not selling the first time

But yes a very cool boat. My favorite Stratos and I hate to see such a rare boat sitting around like this. Drop a few thousand off and it would be a good project boat to fix up.

What was there target top speed for these boats set up to run ? Also is the 200 & 201 Evo just as fast . Have seen post of the new 201 's run in the 83's....?

Bass and Walleye Boats Magazine did a test a while back of an ASX with an Evinrude 225ho. They saw 84 mph with two aboard and 86 solo! Here's the article:

I have heard others who claim low 80s is the best you can do even with a 250hp motor on the back. They have a narrow pad so adding a buddy and a bunch of gear can really slow it down.

It's lighter than an EVO by a couple hundred pounds and it has a sharper pad so I would THINK the ASX would be a little faster all else being equal. JMHO
