91 stratos steering wheel removal

Hey

Any suggestions on getting my steering wheel off I'm sure it's been on their since 91 also does this boat have 3/4" shaft as most others do

to simply remove the steering wheel, remove the allen screws around the center. If you are trying to remove the wheel and the hub also, loosen the center nut until the threads are even with the top of the shaft. You will need a puller that will grasp underneath the edge and tighten against the nut/shaft.

on my 89, I used an 8" gear puller to get mine off including the hub. sounds like they are siezed together. once I had enough tension in it, it popped right off. watch for the crescent shaped key to fall out on the floorboard.
