What's the right prop for my boat?

    I have a 1992 Stratos 295 Pro
    19.5 Feet
    1992 200 Johnson
moter is set 4.5 inches below pad

Currently, I am turning a very old shooter prop (4 blade) 5600 RPMS and getting 60 mph out of it.

I need to get rid of this shooter. I am looking at a 27 trophy. Would my boat be able to turn it?

Problem is, I do not have time to test run a bunch of different props. Tried a 25 tempest and raker and had problems (blew out at about 3,000 rpms)

Can anyone give suggestions for a good 4 blade to run?

    Thanks!!

A known good 24 Original raker, or maybe a 25 Tempest would both be a good choice.

I think I would try an old school 26 Raker and raise the motor one inch. An old school Renegade in 25 would be a good choice as well. Once again, I would go to 3.5 below the pad. Those 200 Johnny's were strong motors

The blow out is fairly common just as the boat breaks over on holeshot. Feather the throttle slightly till it hooks up, then mash the gas. The 3 blades will ventilate more than the 4 blades

No doubt... 25 TRO4 from PowerTech on a 6-8 in plate 2 3/8 to 2 3/4 in below the pad.
