    Need a little help

Sold my Champion a month or so ago in order to by a buddies 198 Champion. He had fell on hard times and I was going to help him out. Well in the mean time he got back on his feet and is now able to keep it, which is cool with me. So now I've been boat shopping. I have been trying to deside between comfort or fuel mileage. I'm concerned that gas is going to hit $4 gallon again and soon. My question is, I have found an awesome 285 Magnum that is in near new condition. It is has 2007 150 Etec on the back with less than 50 hours and 2 years of warranty left on the motor and the boat is a 2006. The boat is loaded with every option you could put on it and has good electronics. Looking for some feed back on this set up, mainly ride and fishing platform. I fish Lake of the Ozarks and it can get rough in the summer months.

    Thanks

Its a great 18ft rig. And rides as good as a 18ft rig can ride in big water. IMO for big water I would atleast look for something in the 19.5 ft range if rough water is a big concern to you, keep in mind rough water ride is mostly driver to. If you think it fits the bill for what your looking for dont let us sway you one way or another.

Your gonna hate it on the Ozarks. I hate my 294 on the Ozarks and its a foot and a half bigger. Plan on being airborn quite a bit.

I have a 07 285 and it fishes great for a 18ft boat. Great holeshot and top end is good. I have had it on some big water and it is fine. The etec should be alot better on gas than my carbbed vmax.
