1993 201 PRO XL 4 blade thats good on top and hole shot???

I have a 1993 201 Pro XL with a matching 200 Johnson Venom. The motor is mounted on a 6" set back hydro jack plate. I have 2 4 blade props a OMC Renegade 13.5 X 25 that is all wrong good hole shot but 55 mph at 6000 rpms. The other is a 13.75 x 24 this one does great on the top 70 mph @6000 but horrible out the hole. I run a 14.5 x 24 3 blade Raker and does well over all good hole shot and 65 mph @ 6000 but i would like to get a better top end without losing too much of my hole shot. Anyone have any ideas?

I am running a 24 temptist at 6100 and hitting 67-70 depending on the load. how high is your motor? mine is set at 3 1/2 below the pad

Post all of your information in the props fourm and Mark Croxton will make a suggestion. Ask if you should re work one of your current 3 props or if you should try something else.

Find ya a good used 25-26 Tempest or 25 Trophy and have it blue printed so ya know its fresh and true. Ya got to have good cup and crisp sharp clean blade edges to get the slip down. And use pvs plugs to tune holeshot. Prop the motor to turn around 5850-5950 rpm.
