    1992 J150 GLENC no spark on 1-3-5

Hi guys, we have good spark on 2-4-6 and none on 1-3-5.
Can not find a shift interupter in the circuit. Is it in the flush mount control.?
I thought it was on the motor near the shifter linkage.
Not sure how to proceed finding the issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.!!

Oops it’s a 1991 motor. Still not sure

The switch is on the lower motor the shift linkage is where to look, you can follow the wire harness up to towards the top of the motor and unplug it. It won't hurt anything to run it unplugged, for a test. On the lake just let the motor warm up, out of Quikstart, to a regular idle, and you should be able to shift without any problem. If unplugging the switch doesn't return spark I would go right to the stator and do the stator tests.

Thanks Juggy, looked there first, but it is not there. Motor is original. Mis-stated spark sequence, good on 1-3-5.
Buddy hooked spark gage out of sequence. No biggy there.
Stator only showed 125 on both checks, swapped out anyway, cause we had a known good one.
And spark stayed the same. Unplugged all motor related sensors one at a time and still had same.
Unhooked boat to motor harness and still had same. Swapped out powerpack with 3 different known good and still same
Used your ignition analyzer and checked all wire plugs and ground connections, and found nothing.

Not sure what the heck is going on. Went to a friends house that has 2 of the same Motors,1 had the interupter and one didn’t.?
    Puzzled for sure now

Are you using the OEM OMC service manual for this motor? I would test these known good components when installed. Battery fully charged? At crank speed 12 volts is supplied to the power pack, to make spark, until motor speed is fast enough to make the required voltages. Test power pack output. Not all power packs are the same, make sure that the pack is the correct part number for this motor. I sure thought that the GLENC motor had the shift switch.

Yes OMC manual on hand. Known good are NIB OMC parts. Saw intermittent spark on 2-4-6 a few times.
New battery spun up good, full charge. Leaning towards voltage regulator and buying new plug wires. Wires are original and boat has sat for 2 yrs due to friends health issues. Did not check for 12volt at spin up, spent to much time scratching my head about shift interupter. Prolly be next weekend before finishing checks. Can’t find my 10watt 10 ohm resistor.
    Old age. LOL
    Thanks for the help.!!

No shift interrupt switch in a 1991 and some early production runs of the 92 so you may not have one. If you have a donor motor swap the timing disk and the EET to your motor.

Thanks ChampioNman, tried that also with NIB parts. Motor was bought new by me and sold to friend at my next one.
Had history when 2nd season rolled around and fried volt reg in spring prep.
Made the spring trip to the south and after replacing and fried stator and power pack. So I kept spare parts on hand and so did another club member with the same motors. So we are blessed with OMC NIB parts around between us all.

Just for ha ha's, check your high tension wires from the pack to the coil pack possible they may have gotten crossed on the install of the new pack, Orange/blue top coil, middle orange, bottom orange/green. Make sure none of the plug wires are contacting the block.

Plug wires.!! Should have checked them first I guess. Always do the basics and then get technical if needed.
24 yr old plug wires. Who would have thought.
Thanks for all the input and help,y’all are the bestes.!!
