    #'s with the new jackplate

So far, the first run with the new 6" jackplate net it me 65.4 @5300 RPM's.
2009 E-tec 150HO, 4" below the pad, 24" Raker II, water temp 70, air temp 69, 1/4 fuel, lots of fishing gear, empty livewells, little chop, tons of water press 25+ lbs.
i'll be bumping up the JP a little at time, the speed was a bit better then i thought, i'm not sure how much more i can squeez out it, it was 62.3 before.
is this a good speed for this boat?
got my old 273 up to 69.8.

That's a nice gain at that prop height. I bet it'll be real good at 3.5 to 3.25 inch prop to pad. Maybe even better than 69mph.

    Re: (Big red2)

You're not going to gain more than about another mph or so. 66 is going to about be it, especially with any kind of a load in it. Still running dang good though. Nice pickup.

I got 66.1 out of my old 05' 285 Pro XLDC, so it is possible.

Re: #'s with the new jackplate (fastman151)

i ended with a 25 Renagade, the fastest was a 26 Raker, the 26 had NO holeshot, but ran the best top speed, the Gade was the best all around prop i had.
    i ran a 24 Raker, a 25 Gade and the 26 Raker.

Have to agree with you about the Gade...best all around prop!! Had my best speed with a 24 Raker. Running a 24 Fury now.

Re: #'s with the new jackplate (JeffA)

    JeffA,
I have 2000 Stratos w/ a 175 Johnson on it and NO jack plate I run 64.7 MPH at 5600 RPM with 30 PIS of water, with a 23p Laser Prop and that all my fishing gear and me at 340 pounds. can't wait to get my jackplate on mine, I hope to see some fast number then, plus the weight is coming off too, and that will also help a lot....I lower my motor one hole and picked up almost 8 mph now.... I am still works on it to... More Prop work.....

    Good luck
