    Mounting Batt charger/97 Javelin

I have a 97 Javelin...the old charger is mounted on the back wall above where the drain plug is..I have a new Minnkota and want to mount it in the same place...the screws are not in the same mounting position, and Im leary about putting more screws once I pull the old ones out..it seems pretty thick there, as thats where the big piece is that holds the jack plate on the inside..How thick is that back there? and would it be safe to mount the charger there again?

You'll be ok. I've mounted 3 different chargers in my boat. Each had a different mounting bracket. Just don't use screws any longer than what you took out.
