When I trim motor to full trim, just before it goes into tilt, my gauge only reads 1/4. We adjusted the potentiometer on the engine and it made it worse. billybass has the same boat and his gauge at full trim goes to the top of the gauge.Any ideas?

Sounds like you have a Mercury and he has a Evinrude or Yamaha. The Mercury reads around 1/4 trim at full trim and full trim at full tilt.
