    2001 johnson 225 20" shaft carbed 2 stroke

    hey guys, my boss has this motor for sale and its only got like 80hrs of dealer used hrs,now its been serviced by a 20yr omc/brp tech its whole life and compression is perfect ,i mean its been stored indoors for its whole life,but we are selling it,what can i tell folks about this unit, powerful? reliable? trouble free?, some techs a while back said it was a great motor and runs forever and very powerful, but i want your opinion. thanks

    I bought one from a BBC member and replaced my 2000 225 HO with a 2001 225 HO used that was in great shape. I would say from the info you gave its a good mota' go for it.

    here you go omc/brp techs and pros it is a j225 plsif, serial#g04929103, mfg-09/2000 167kw, like i said it is estimated between 50-80hrs and babied, would this be a good motor for a 1st timer for a perf. hull???? thanks guys/gals
