Good time to buy a new Stratos?

Have had my eyes on a new 186XT. With the recent shakeup concerning Genmar, is it a safe time to buy? Or should I consider a Nitro. Can't imagine Johnny Morris going under anytime soon... I would prefer a Stratos...

buy the stratos you will be happier with the stratos i promise, stratos has been bought out by a new company that will be keeping them goin for a long time.

Stratos is moving forward. They are honoring all of their past, present, and future warranties. It's a good time to buy.

There's no reason not to go ahead with the purchase. The 115 is the engine on the 186's.....90's are a little too little.

Personally, I would go with the Stratos. That boat fishes pretty big for its size. You will not be disappointed.

Stratos, they have every thing going for them right now with the new owners, STRATOS is here to stay for sure.

You will think you died and gone to heaven when you feel the power of that Etec on that 186 u will also love fishing out of that rig.

I'm the proud owner of a 08 186XT and am confident that you'll love it. I don't have the etec, but have no doubt you would be happy with it as well. Like Todd said, I would go with the 115 for sure.

The 186 is a huge upgrade from a tin boat, you will be truly shocked at the differance. My fishing buddy runs a tracker. While it's a good boat, it can't hold a candle to my 186. Another buddy with a G3, always wants to take my boat when we go, even though he hates to bag up his gear. There is lots of room on that bow for two men, and you would have good tackle storage.

Thanx again guys. I'm in Rhode Island and the biggest lake that I fish is about 400 acres. I don't have a need for anything bigger than the 115 now. In fact, most places that I fish regularly are electric only. I really want the room and stability for my dad. He can't climb in and out of the tin boat anymore. It's time to be comfortable.
