    Garmin/Google Earth/Homeport

I know I can create waypoints in Google Earth, transfer those way points to Homeport and then to my MFD.
Noticed if I trace a breakline (visible at low water on Google Earth), that "line" transfers to Homeport. Can I transfer that "line" to my MFD? It is not a route just a line created wirh Google earth software.
I could make a route but obviously could not get all the bends and turns of the breakline. I know I could just download the "line" to the MFD but it has been my experience these units don't like what they don't understand.
    Don't want to break anything.

Yes, that line should be converted to a track in your MFD. I've done a lot of this, tracing creek channels from low water images on Google Earth.
