    2010's at C&O

Any idea when they're supposed to start arriving?

In all honesty........we're trying to get me better from the cancer before we make any huge commitments this year. We'll probably let some come before the fist boat show in January.

Our floor company is also kinda shy about buying Genmar product right now with the Chapter 11. We're not worried....but our bank is.

Sheww....they're taking money out of your pockets by not letting some 10's in. I bet you couldn't keep 285s with 175s on the back.
BTW, I'm sure you'll be back to 100% in no time.

The 285's were always 175 rated until 2007. Believe it or not, only 1 out of 10 was sold with the 175. Most were still 150. Generally a 2 mph increase.....maybe our engines 3 years later will add some to that.

    Thanks for your kind words!

I have a 2005 285pxl and the HP rating on the plate is 150hp. Can a 285 be recertified for a 175? I am looking to replace my Johnson with a yamaha or merc and would love to run a 175.

    thanks

Yep....we've been able to do 175's all along.

Does it require a new HP rating plate? How much does it cost?

You have to have a jackplate and a hotfoot to consider the 285 a Magnum pkg boat.
